KL Forest Eco Park (Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve)

The KL Forest Eco Park is the only naturally occurring rainforest in the city of Kuala Lumpur, and it's a great place to come in the wee hours of the day to enjoy the forest in all its expanse and serenity.

Since 1906, when it was first gazetted, successive governments have undertaken a number of developmental projects in this green space. The forest currently covers an area of around 9 hectares, and there are several interwoven tracks meant for jogging. The forest is placed right in the heart of the city. In addition to adding a lot of fresh air to the city centre, it has also become a natural refuge for a number of birds and small mammals.

Tourists often pay a visit for a quick stroll or a hike, or even just for some sultry picnicking over here at this popular tourist spot that is conveniently located near other important attractions like Menara Kuala Lumpur (which is visible from within). Best of all, there is now even an open-air walkway where you can see what life looks like up above!

KLCC Park

KLCC Park is a great place to visit, especially if you're looking for some relaxation or want to take in the scenery. The park is located in Kuala Lumpur City Centre, and it's an urban park that overlooks the Suria shopping complex and the Petronas Towers. The lush greenery of the 50-acre urban park adds a natural flavour to the otherwise paved and cemented urban neighbourhood.

The park draws considerable attention from tourists and residents alike. The man-made lake, Lake Symphony, is probably the biggest attraction in the park. The contrast created between its surrounding greenery and its lush flora inside makes for a wonder to behold.

The park also has a variety of functional features like a jogging track replete with resting benches, waterfalls, fountains, and a children’s playground. The overall design of this park is unapologetically inclusive—you can have a surreal experience here as it's loaded with greenery!

Titiwangsa Lake Gardens

Titiwangsa Lake Gardens is a recreational park in Kuala Lumpur that features a large lake as its main attraction. The gardens were developed by the British during their colonial rule of Malaysia, and they were initially used as a place to dump tin waste from nearby mines. Later on, the area was cleaned up and turned into a park.

The park is popular with city dwellers, who use it for tennis courts, an exercise area, a playground for children and other recreational facilities for water sports, jogging and the like. Nearby is the Remote Control (RC) Car track that is complete with a drivers platform and seating for spectators, making it a popular attraction among RC enthusiasts on the weekends. Also within the vicinity of the park is a stadium.

This 95 hectares park consists of a 57 hectares lake where anglers will be glad to know that they are allowed to fish here. Other amenities at the park include: Remote Control car track; cycling track; football field; boathouse and aquatic activities; viewing tower; playground and pavilion.

Kuala Lumpur Bird Park

Nested amidst the greenery on a hilltop, with all its lush surroundings the exotic Kuala Lumpur Bird Park. One of the best places to go night safari in Kuala Lumpur, its a manmade sanctuary of birds but it blends in with the nature with such perfection that one often forgets it is located amidst a full bustling city. Its an absolutely convenient place, a park that is a perfect weekend morning spot for the children.

Various colorful birds dancing amidst the flourishing environment of the park add a dash of vibrancy and cheer to the place. The walk-in, free-flight aviary houses over 60 species of local and migratory birds. Last time it was counted, there were 3,000 birds altogether of more than 200 species. There are brahminy kites, southern cassowary, channel-billed toucan, rhinoceros hornbill (the largest hornbill species in the world), the rare Pesquets parrot (found only in Papua New Guinea) and the Moluccan cockatoo. The morning feeding session of these birds are amazing. You can see birds in all the wonderful colors and incredible sizes. They all come together and swoop down and rush to the drop of the crops.

You may look out for Indian blue peacock, macaws, cockatoos, rhinoceros hornbills, oriental flamingos, parakeets, lories, kites, eagles, and many more interesting birds.The landscaped gardens, gushing water streams, cobbled walkways, and extensive playgrounds sets a perfect background. There are rowing boats available to take you through the waterways of the park.

Perdana Botanical Garden

The Perdana Botanical Garden, formerly known as Taman Tasik Perdana or Lake Gardens, is situated in the Heritage Park of Kuala Lumpur. It has always been a part of the green lung of the city and has a history of over a decade. Originally created as part of a recreational park but planted with collections of tropical plants, the garden have been rehabilitated and turned into a Botanical Garden. The garden have not only botanical collections but also house features that give the visitors the ambiance of being in a tropical rainforest, despite being in the middle of a bustling metropolis.

Putrajaya Secret Garden

Putrajaya Secret Garden finally opened its doors to the public, adding colour and liveliness to the nightscape of Putrajaya with its striking array of lights draped over trees, bushes, and pillars. Besides the neon-lit trees that simulate bioluminescent colours, watch as the entire garden comes alive at night, emanating vibrant colours and dazzling glows – as if the stars have somehow found their way down to earth. There are various photo spots too, including gleaming sculptures in the shape of dinosaurs that you and your kiddos will want to check out.You can stroll through romantically-lit pathways hand-in-hand with your loved ones as the night turns dark, and snap lovely photos along the way at the many Instagrammable corners of the garden.This otherworldly garden will be sure to bring your Avatar-fantasies to life.

Saujana Green Garden

Saujana Green Garden is located in Presint 11, comprising a hilly area that's been landscaped beautifully that stretches out over 47 hectares of land.. With pine trees, rolling hills, wooden fencing and exotic flowers, this garden is famous for recreational use like jogging as well as leisurely outings like picnics or wedding photoshoots. There's a 2.8km jogging track that stretches throughout the park, with plenty of smaller pathways and sections that branch off for you to explore. The garden is sectioned into themed gardens, namely a European Garden, a Chinese-style Garden and an English Garden. The thought and care that went into picking the plants and trees for the park really shows, as you'll see things that are not usually common sights in our parts of the world, such as sunflowers, lovely English-style flower beds and creeper plants, and juniper trees.
